| The semi-finals for the European Nations Championship 2008 have been announced. As the winners of the relegation matches have been found, next up is the European Nations Championship finals at Games Convention 2008. Four nations to fight out, who to be crowned as the best nation in Europe. Last year’s winner from Poland failed to make it to the finals this year, instead we see a dominant Counter-Strike Nation once again make it. Sweden went 5-0 in the main round, only giving one map away. France, a new first-timer at the finals will have another shot at Denmark when the two nations clash in the first semi-final. France managed to take one map from Denmark in the main round. Germany will have another go at Sweden in the second semi-final. There is a total of 27.500€ up for grabs in Counter-Strike at the European Nations Championship finals this year. Total prize purse for the finals this year is 55.000€. 1st - 15.000€The first set of matches will be the semi-finals, being played on the first day of Games Convention 2008.
